Vote in the county elections next Sunday

20.1.2022

The actual polling day of Finland’s first county elections is next Sunday, 23 January. You will then have the last chance to make an impact on where you and your loved ones will get health and social services, how far away the nearest fire brigade is located, and what kinds of workplaces the upcoming wellbeing services counties will be.

On Sunday 23 January, you will get to cast your vote for people’s jobs, lives, welfare and health. In the county elections, the purpose is to vote about where and how you and your loved ones are cared for, where the nearest fire brigade or health centre is located, how the health care of schoolchildren is organised, or how quickly one is able to access mental health services. By voting in the elections, one can also make an impact on what kinds of workplaces and employers the upcoming wellbeing services counties will be.

If you didn’t get the chance to vote in advance, go and vote next Sunday. It matters how you and your loved ones will get the health and social services you need.
