Did you lose some of your pay because of the drone threat? We have published instructions for claiming your missing pay

Trade Union JHL emphasises that employees have to get their pay if they cannot go to work because an emergency warning forbids going to the workplace. We have created instructions for situations where employers do not pay employees for the time they were absent.

On 15 May, the rescue authorities issued an emergency warning affecting the Uusimaa region, instructing people to stay indoors.

Some employers’ view has been that the employer does not have to pay employees for the time they have been absent from work due to a drone threat.

JHL disagrees strongly.

Trade Union JHL: Employees must get paid when the authorities instruct people to stay at home in the event of a drone threat

What should I do if my employer withholds some of my pay?

Instructions issued by the authorities may easily have resulted into JHL members being unable to come to work on time.

We have published detailed instructions that explain what our members should do if their employers don’t pay them for the time they were absent in such situations.
