The negotiations of the private social services sector continue after Christmas
The collective agreement negotiations could not be completed yet, but the parties have decided to continue negotiating before the end of the year.
The parties have decided to take a short Christmas break and then continue the collective agreement negotiations of the private social services sector on 29 December. The current agreement period of the sector ends at the end of the year 2025.
“The atmosphere in the negotiations has been good. We see potential for progress in the negotiations, even though there is still some ground to cover before we reach a negotiation result,” say JHL’s Bargaining Specialists Tanja Tuunainen-Vainio and Siru Heromaa-Karjalainen.
Trade Union JHL and other employee organisations and the employers’ association Finnish Association of Private Care Providers (HALI) have negotiated on a new collective agreement intensively.
There are thousands of workplaces that produce services of this sector in Finland. Employees of this sector work for example in assisted living and nursing homes for the elderly, housing services for people with disabilities, mother-and-child homes, shelters, substance abuse services, child protection, and as personal assistants.
