Trade Union JHL and ParkkiPate have approved the conciliator’s proposal – the planned strike is cancelled

3.11.2026

Representatives of the employees and the employer have approved the National Conciliator’s proposal that starts collective agreement negotiations between ParkkiPate and JHL. Trade Union JHL thanks all active union members for their hard work that made starting negotiations possible.

Active members of Trade Union JHL have achieved a significant accomplishment at private parking control company ParkkiPate. The company will start negotiations with JHL that aim at a collective agreement for ParkkiPate.

“We would not be here without the great work of our active union members. They have tirelessly told their employer that their goal is to get a collective agreement for the company. This is a big step towards fair terms and conditions of employment, but there is still much work to be done in the negotiations”, says JHL’s Chief Executive Officer Mari Keturi.

This cancels the strike that JHL had planned for ParkkiPate. The strike would have started on Thursday 5 November and ended on Monday 9 November.

The National Conciliator began mediation of the labour dispute on the last week of October. According to JHL’s Bargaining Specialist Sari Jokinen, JHL and ParkkiPate have now agreed several negotiation meetings and the negotiations may still take months.

The negotiations will start on 9 November.
