The term of the new Airpro collective agreement is three years

Airpro’s new collective agreement covers three years (2+1), from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028.

The 2+1 model means that the negotiating parties will review the pay increases of the final year in 2026. If the economic outlook for the final year of the agreement has improved, the current agreement can be terminated and better pay increases can be negotiated for the year 2027.

Pay increases at Airpro in 2025–2027

Pay increases at Airpro amount to 7.74% in three years. In addition to that, the night shift allowance rises by 5 percentage points from 20% to 25%.

– Before the negotiations started, we asked from our members what they wanted, and based on the survey, increasing the night shift allowance became our top negotiation goal. That makes achieving this improvement particularly great, comments JHL’s Bargaining Specialist Jussi Päiviö.

Pay increases at Airpro on 1 August 2025

  • 2.44% across-the-board increase

Pay increases at Airpro on 1 July 2026

  • 2.9%

In the first place, the 2,9% increase allowance is intended to be used for the work of a pay working group or a work shift working group. If there is no agreement by 31 March 2026 on how it should be allocated, the amount will be paid as an across-the board increase.

Pay increases at Airpro on 1 July 2027

  • 2.4%

The pay increase money of the year 2027 is intended to be used in the first place for locally agreed pay increases. The employer can decide how the allowance for locally agreed pay increases is allocated. Its purpose is to rectify possible pay imbalances and support a fair pay structure and rewarding pay formation. The local increase allowance can also be used for rewarding an employee’s performance. If pay increases cannot be agreed locally, the 2.4% allowance will be paid as an across-the-board increase.

An across-the-board increase means a pay increase that is the same for everyone covered by the collective agreement. It applies to employees’ pays and pay scales. Such bonuses which are regarded as basic pay and compensations for personnel representatives will also rise with the same across-the-board percentages.

The longest work shift becomes an hour shorter, and employees get a new break

With the new collective agreement, the longest work shift at Airpro becomes one hour shorter, and it will be 13 hours instead of the earlier 14 hours. It was furthermore agreed in the collective agreement negotiations that Airpro will survey whether the employees want to have shorter work shifts. The employer will also set up a pilot group for testing different work shift models.

We also negotiated a new break into the collective agreement: An employee will get a break when an uninterrupted work shift exceeds 4 hours, provided that the work situation permits taking the break.

Airpro promotes sustainability and diversity
