In the Union Council you will be making decisions on the future course of Trade Union JHL. Nomination of candidates for the Union Council elections begins in October. You can become a candidate when you join JHL before the end of September.

If you answered yes, you should become a candidate in JHL’s Union Council elections.
Nomination of candidates opens in the beginning of October. If you are not a JHL member yet, join the union during September to be eligible for candidacy.
What is JHL’s Union Council?
- The Union Council is Trade Union JHL’s highest decision-making body.
- The Union Council for example decides the amount of JHL’s membership fee and approves the trade union’s budget and financial statements.
- The Union Council consists of 120 council members.
- The members are chosen by election.
- The term of the Union Council is five years.
