Immigrant network (Jalla-Jalla!)

The duty of the Jalla-Jalla! network is to make immigrant members better informed about working life and employee rights and obligations. The network was founded in the region of Inner Finland in August 2021. It is JHL's third immigrant network.

WHAT NETWORK?

The duty of the Jalla-Jalla! (“Let’s go!”) network is to make immigrant members better informed about working life and employee rights and obligations. It also functions as a peer network where people discuss current trade union matters and working life from an immigrant perspective.

The objective is to activate members to participate in the activities of their workplace, local branch and union. The network plans activities and co-operates with the union’s local branches.

THE NETWORK’S DUTIES:

  • Protection of immigrant members’ interests
  • Building a network of contact persons in local branches
  • Further developing co-operation between local branches, shop stewards, regional office of Inner Finland, and union decision makers.
  • The action plan for 2022 will be drafted between 27 and 28 November 2021 in Naantali.

The network gets together every couple of months. Come join us!
