A conciliation proposal for the private teaching sector was submitted today.

The National Conciliator Anu Sajavaara submitted a conciliation proposal today 18 April.

Information about what happens with the strikes that were announced to start next week will be provided later, when the executive bodies of each party have discussed the conciliation proposal and given their answers to it. Answers will be delivered to the National Conciliator on Friday 19 April at 5 pm.

The conciliation process for the private teaching sector began on 9 April. Before that the collective agreement negotiations had ended without a result and the trade unions had issued a strike warning.

If the strike takes place, it will be organised next week from 23 to 24 April.

JHL, Jyty and OAJ represent the employees, and Finnish Education Employers (FEE) has represented the employers in the negotiations.
