JHL member: Apply for SAK’s culture grant by the end of August

The application period for SAK’s culture grants for the year 2026 is open. Apply for a grant now.

All SAK-affiliated trade union members or hobby groups can apply for the culture grants. The grants are awarded for supporting art-related cultural activities, for general societal research, and for working-life development projects.

The grant applications are sent though KSR’s application app (in Finnish). Go to the “Hakemus” tab and select “SAK:n kulttuurirahaston haku” from the “Hakemuksen tyyppi” menu.

JHL members can apply for grants also from the culture and study grant funds of their own trade union. These grants, too, are applied by the end of August on KSR’s website (in Finnish).

Last year, SAK’s culture grants were awarded for example for supporting search and rescue dog activities, creating an advent calendar that is a comment on the society, photographing in Iceland, supporting a board game hobby and game club, and performing country music in nursing homes.

Kansan Sivistysrahasto (KRS) organises an open grant info session on Tuesday 19 August at 1 pm. The info session is a remote event on Teams, and participants need to register for it at the latest on 17 August.
