Jäsentreffit ´25 – JHL’s member event at Valkeakoski is going to be full of fun for the whole family
Head to Valkeakoski in July! Your trade union JHL invites you and your family to Jäsentreffit member event on 26 July during the Worker’s Music Festival. It is going to be one of the most fun days this summer!
Valkeakoski becomes the hotspot for JHL members this summer. JHL’s member event on Saturday 26 July during the Worker’s Music Festival has everything that is needed for a great day: entertaining programme, thougth-provoking discussion and casual time together (programme link in Finnish).
JHL’s programme is free for all JHL members and their families. Welcome to spend the best day of the summer with us!
If you want to enjoy all the other great programme at the Worker’s Music Festival after the member event, use JHL’s membership benefit by 15 July and buy a festival ticket for Saturday, or for the entire festival weekend, at a special price for JHL members.
A superb day with your fellow JHL members
The day starts at 11 am with a fun family concert by Sukkalukko orchestra. Their merry rhythms and playful performance bring smiles to the faces of listeners of all ages.
After that it’s time to head to Salakapakka in the festival area to meet other JHL members and their families in a relaxed atmosphere from 12 noon onwards.
Jäsentreffit ´25 is the best place to meet other JHL members this summer: you can meet old friends and make new ones, discuss with the trade union leadership and, most importantly, enjoy the summer in good company.
The day offers all kinds of fun:
- Enjoy the music by modern day troubadour Mika Byman.
- There is face painting for children (and why not adults as well).
- Magician and comedian Tuomas Seikku entertains the audience with a hilarious show.
- And of course we offer snacks and refreshments to give you energy for all the activities!
Discussion about wellbeing at work
At 3 pm on the Sananvapauden lava stage we dive into an important theme, wellbeing at work, in a panel discussion: Työhyvinvointi – naurun paikka vai työelämän kivijalka?
The panellists are Research Professor Jari Hakanen, Member of the Finnish Parliament Pinja Perholehto and the President of JHL Håkan Ekström. The panel discussion is hosted by JHL’s Chief Executive Officer Mari Keturi.
Expect a thought-provoking and refreshing discussion on what wellbeing at work really is and why creating it belongs to everyone. As well as discussion on what it does not need to be. It’s more than yoga and fruit! (The panel discussion is in Finnish.)
Sightseeing cruises for JHL members
Summer day, the company of JHL members and the glimmering waves of lake Mallasvesi make a perfect combination.
Bring your sun hat and your family because one of the highlights of the Jäsentreffit event is a sightseeing cruise on lake Mallasvesi. The boat ride takes about 1.5 hours.
The JHL members of the Inner Finland region have their own VIP cruise departure at 10.30 am. Book your tickets here. If this time does not suit your schedule, you can also book tickets to another departure.
You can book up to 5 seats. Remember to pick up your cruise tickets from JHL’s tent (on Friday or Saturday) before the departure!

Get your ticket to the Worker’s Music Festival at a special price for JHL members
JHL subsidises purchases of Saturday’s day tickets the Worker’s Music Festival for its members with 30 euros. If you want to continue the evening at the festival, buy your ticket in advance here (page in Finnish). The benefit applies until 15 July, and it can also be used for a ticket of other festival days or the whole festival weekend.
