Intensive negotiations continue in the private early childhood education and care sector, the current collective agreement is effective until the end of the year

19.12.2025

The collective agreement negotiators seek solutions for finishing the long negotiations. Follow the communications of your union for the latest information on the state of the negotiations.

The private early childhood education and care sector is still waiting for a negotiation result. JHL, other trade unions and the employers’ association Finnish Education Employers (FEE) have scheduled negotiations also for the coming weekend.

Currently, the sector applies the collective agreement for the private social services sector, which is effective until the end of the year 2025. For as long as that collective agreement is effective, JHL members continue working as normal and with the terms and conditions of the current agreement.

On 1 January 2026, the private early childhood education and care sector enters a period without agreement if a negotiation result is not reached by then. We keep our members updated on the status of the sector’s negotiations. Follow the communications of your union. We deliver you reliable information on the situation in your sector. Remember also to update your member information on myJHL.
