The rollout of JHL’s new membership service approaches – the transition will affect services for members in November

5.11.2026

The transition to new e-services for JHL members will take place at the end of November and beginning of December. Some of our services will be unavailable from 17 to 30 November 2026.

Trade Union JHL is reforming all its e-services for members. The migration to the new myJHL starts on 17 November. This will cause an interruption in some of the union’s e-services on 17–30 November 2026.

When the interruption is over on 1 December, our members will have access to a versatile tool kit that offers everything important in one place.

What services will the interruption affect?

The interruption will affect the following JHL’s services

  • Users cannot sign in to myJHL, omaYhdistys or omaKoulutus.
  • Membership service over telephone is closed.
  • Payment service over telephone is closed.

Regional offices have some exceptions in their opening hours between 16 and 30 November. All regional offices are closed on 16 and 19 November. We recommend contacting regional offices during this period by e-mail.

The form for contacting JHL’s Membership Service will be available on JHL’s website throughout the interruption, but messages sent using the form will be held in the processing queue for the duration of the cutover period.

We will instruct here at jhl.fi on the week of 23 November how members can sign in to the new myJHL.

No interruption in joining JHL or registering for courses

Joining JHL through the union’s website and registering for courses through the course calendar will work throughout the service interruption, although the forms will look a bit different from the usual.

Education Advice will be available as usual. Employment Advice for shop stewards / union representatives and occupational safety and health representatives will also be available as usual, except for 16 and 19 November, when this service is closed as well.

What will the new myJHL offer?

The new and improved system will play a major role in the union’s services and the members’ communication with the union. It is a versatile tool kit where you will find everything important for you JHL membership.

The new myJHL service can be used on a browser-based app that works on your phone.

The service provides access to your membership card, courses and events and your union branch. The service is also going to display the contact information of your shop steward or union representative. This feature will be rolled out later.

Shop stewards and union representatives will get their own section where they can communicate directly with the members who they represent and view and update their information as well as explore member statistics. The date when these features become available will be confirmed closer to the system rollout.

Union branches are going to receive much-requested new features. With the new union branch tools they can for example send messages to branch members and the union.

Candidates for JHL’s Union Council Elections can be nominated during the service interruption

Nomination of candidates for JHL’s Union Council elections is open until 11 December 2026. Candidate nomination is done in a separate system, and the service interruption of myJHL will have no effect on the Union Council elections or nomination of candidates.
