Collective agreement negotiations start in the private social services sector, the current agreement term ends at the end of the year
Trade Union JHL will negotiate intensively on the new collective agreement until Christmas. Our goal is an agreement that brings improvements for example in pay, working times and training opportunities.
Negotiations on the future collective agreement terms and conditions for the private social services sector started properly today, 3 November.
JHL and other employee organisations and the employers’ association Finnish Association of Private Care Providers (HALI) will negotiate on the new collective agreement intensively in the coming weeks. The current agreement term of the sector ends at the end of the year 2025.
According to JHL’s negotiators Tanja Tuunainen-Vainio and Siru Heromaa-Karjalainen, a central goal for the negotiations concerns the pays in the sector.
“The pays have fallen behind those in the public sector, while the cost of living has been rising. Our members need fair pay increases.”
Trade Union JHL listened carefully to its members who work in this sector when the negotiation goals were set. In addition to pay, JHL pursues improvements also to other collective agreement terms and conditions that affect the employees in many ways, such as holidays and time off, work equipment and training.
The collective agreement for the private social services sector is negotiated by Trade Union JHL, the health and social services sector’s negotiation organisation Sote ry, Talentia Union of Professional Social Workers, and social services sector alliance Sosiaalipalvelualan allianssi Salli ry. The employers are represented by the Finnish Association of Private Care Providers. Follow the negotiations on our website and on Facebook.
