The collective agreements for private sectors determine the terms and conditions of employment in municipal and state companies and enterprises, associations and foundations and in many social services sector companies, among others. Also a private individual, such as the employer of a personal assistant, may act as an employer.
If you work in the private sector, the sector’s collective agreements have the exact information about your pay and other terms and conditions of your employment.
As a trade union, JHL negotiates and concludes over 40 collective agreements in the private sector. The structure of these agreements varies significantly by agreement sector. Some of the collective agreements are very simplified, whereas in certain agreement sectors they stipulate the terms and conditions of employment in great detail.
JHL negotiates so that the appreciation for its members’ socially important work is reflected in pay and well-being at work. Joining a union gives you protection of interests, support, and security.
If you’re not yet a member of JHL, join now to safeguard your rights in working life: jhl.fi/join.
The contact information for those responsible for negotiating the agreements is here (in Finnish): private sector and working life quality division.
