New holiday location for JHL members becomes available for booking soon – be quick and get a winter holiday at a bargain price
The winter holiday season is soon here. Members of Trade Union JHL can choose from many attractive holiday locations at great prices.
Winter holidays are approaching, and Trade Union JHL offers its members an even greater selection of holiday locations this year.
We have added in our selection for this winter season a holiday cottage by the sea on Medvastö in Kirkkonummi and a new option for pet owners in Koskenpää.
The Medvastö holiday cottage is located in a naturally beautiful setting by the sea in Kirkkonummi.
The Medvastö cottage will become available for JHL members in the Lomavaraamo booking system on 12 January 2026. Note that it is not possible to book the place before that.
The Medvastö cottage is large enough even for bigger groups. There are beds for eight people, and the house is 90 square metres in area. It has two bedrooms, a dining area and a living room. The living room has two sofa beds.
The property has a separate sauna building with a sauna, shower room and changing room.
Medvastö has running water, but the water is not safe to drink. Drinking water can be fetched for example from a hydrant at Hirsalantie 623, about 6 kilometres from the cottage. The Medvastö cottage is smoke-free, and pets are not allowed. Visitors are responsible for cleaning up the cottage before they leave.
Modern holiday houses in Ruka
JHL members can stay at a bargain price in JHL’s holiday houses in Ruka, Kuusamo, close to many activities. JHL’s six modern holiday houses were completed in 2023, so they are fresh and new. Our holiday houses in Ruka are located right beside the ski resort.
JHL members get a 40% discount on the prices of the holiday houses in Ruka. You get the discount at the booking step by using a discount code that you will find at myJHL under Special offers for members. This is a really great benefit that you can use for example for the upcoming winter holiday.
Prices vary depending on the season and demand, but the JHL member discount applies at all times.
Great prices for holidays in Vierumäki, at lakeside or near Himos
There are two villas in Vierumäki that can be booked by JHL members. These semi-detached house units are located near excellent sports facilities and close to nature. You’ll be sure to have a relaxing holiday in the Päijät-Häme region in Vierumäki. The minimum booking time for the villas is two nights.
JHL members can also book the Suojala cabin in an idyllic lakeside scenery in Central Finland. The eight-person cabin is located in Luhanka, in the midst of peaceful nature. The Suojala cabin can be booked any time in JHL’s Lomavaraamo system.
Holiday village Koskenpää in Jämsä offers JHL members three wonderful villas, three camping cottages, and parking spots at a caravan site. The main building Koskenhovi accommodates eight people.
People have requested for more options for members who travel with pets. This has been heard, and the Koivisto villa at Koskenpää has been opened for pets. Now pets are welcome in Koskenpää in the Koivisto and Halonen villas and the Lemmikki cottage. The holiday village in Jämsä is located only 30 minutes from Himos.
