Get ready for winter holidays – JHL members have many great options, including a new location this winter

19.11.2025

The holiday seasons of winter are here soon. Members of Trade Union JHL can choose from many attractive holiday locations at a great member price. For this winter season, we have added in the selection a holiday cottage on Medvastö in Kirkkonummi and more options for pet owners in Koskenpää.

Members of Trade Union JHL will soon be able to book a cottage in a new holiday location on Medvastö in Kirkkonummi, in a beautiful place by sea.

The Medvastö cottage will become available for JHL members in the Lomavaraamo booking system on 12 January 2026. Note that it is not possible to book the place before that.

The Medvastö cottage is large enough even for bigger groups. There are beds for eight people, and the house is 90 square metres in area. It has two bedrooms, a dining area and a living room. The living room has two sofa beds.

The property has a separate sauna building with a sauna, shower room and changing room.

Medvastö has running water, but it is not safe to drink. Water can be fetched for example from a hydrant at Hirsalantie 623, about 6 kilometres from the cottage.

The Medvastö cottage is smoke-free, and pets are not allowed.

Visitors are responsible for cleaning up the cottage before they leave.

A new option for people travelling with pets

People have requested for more options for those who travel with pets. This has been heard, and the Koivisto villa at Koskenpää in Jämsä has been opened for pets. Now pets are welcome in Koskenpää in the Koivisto and Halonen villas and the Lemmikki cottage.

JHL members can choose in Koskenpää from three villas, three camping cottages, caravan parking spots, and the main building of Koskenhovi. Koskenpää is located at a distance of about 30-minute drive from Himos Ski Resort.

From December onwards, it is possible to book accommodation in Koskenpää for a period shorter than 7 nights also in high season weeks 51–1 and 8–11. Earlier, only 7-night bookings were possible in these weeks.

JHL offers its members a great selection of holiday rentals. Have you already visited all of them?

Book on Lomavaraamo

All holiday locations are booked on JHL’s Lomavaraamo. The booking confirmation contains detailed instructions for your stay. You can view a real-time booking calendar in the holiday cottage portal.
