Justice for Cleaners event is coming again!

10.6.2024

15 June is International Justice Day for Cleaners. Trade unions Service Union United PAM and Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors JHL want to raise appreciation for cleaners and their important work. Anyone’s daily life in Finland would not function without cleaners.

This year’s Justice for Cleaners event takes place at Espan lava in Helsinki from 11 am to 1 pm.

JHL and PAM have organised together this event that welcomes both cleaning sector professionals and those interested in cleaning work and cleaners’ rights.

Come join us!

Programme in the Justice for Cleaners event:

– Opening speech by PAM President Annika Rönni-Sällinen and JHL President Håkan Ekström.

– Panel discussion on cleaning work and the cleaning sector. Panellists: Lea Ikonen, chief shop steward of ISS Palvelut in South-Eastern Finland and Loviisa; Raimo Timonen, chair of the local JHL branch; Sari Mattila, executive director of Puhtausala ry; Reelika Kopli, planner at City of Helsinki; and Reetta Alastalo, managing director of Koti Puhtaaksi.

– A playful cleaning competition

– Music

The trade unions have a tent and a wheel of fortune by the stage. Prizes in the wheel of fortune include for example HETI washing and cleaning products gifted by Berner Oy. Come and say hello and discuss cleaning work or other topics that are on your mind.
