Intensive bargaining spring ahead – Negotiations on the general collective agreement for government have started

16.1.2025

Negotiations on the new general collective agreement for government (the collective agreement for state civil servants and employees under contract) have started on Wednesday 15 January 2025. The current agreement is valid until the end of February.

In the first meeting the parties discussed the starting points of the negotiations and the plans for future negotiation meetings. The meeting attendees also heard about the current economic situation and outlook from an expert from the Bank of Finland.

The Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors JHL, Trade Union Pro and Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals JUKO represent the employees in these negotiations, and Office for the Government as Employer (VTML) represents the employer.

JHL’s negotiators are Senior Bargaining Specialist Harri Turunen and Bargaining Specialist Teija Wikman.

The next negotiation meeting is on Thursday 22 January.
