JHL’s Union Council elections are getting closer, and nomination of candidates begins on 12 October. You can vote in the elections when you join JHL during October.
Trade Union JHL’s Union Council decides where the union should focus in its operations and how it spends money.
The Union Council consists of 120 council members. They are elected by the union members.
Join JHL by 31 October in order to be eligible to vote in the elections. Another condition for the right to vote is that you have paid all your due membership fees.
What is JHL’s Union Council?
- The Union Council is Trade Union JHL’s highest decision-making body.
- The Union Council for example decides the amount of JHL’s membership fee and approves the trade union’s budget and financial statements.
- The Union Council consists of 120 council members.
- The members are chosen by election.
- The term of the Union Council is five years.
Nomination of candidates for the elections begins on Monday 12 October, and candidates can register until 11 December.
