Christmas donation from JHL to preventative child protection work

18.12.2023

This year, JHL will donate the funds reserved for Christmas cards to the Icehearts association. The association engages in preventative child protection work with the help of team sports.

Icehearts is an early intervention operations model for the benefit of children and families, both in leisure time and in school. Icehearts is a concept that’s proven to work.

The 6- to 12-year-olds involved in the activities can choose their sport together with an educator. They try out several sports, but they mostly play football and floorball. In addition, the children get to go on camps and trips where they also practice daily chores.

JHL supports the operations of Icehearts with EUR 10,000. The funds are used for supporting the operations of Icehearts teams across the country. The association has over ten teams from Turku to Ulvila and Joensuu.

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year 2024 from JHL!
