Brand song for Trade Union JHL

Trade Union JHL now has its own theme song. The song is about the union’s star professionals and the power of pulling together.

The Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors JHL now has its own brand song, Mennään samaa matkaa (“We’re going the same path”). The genre of the song is 2020s pop with tones of both evergreen and modern pop. The lyrics describe how JHL’s star professionals relate to life and work: The power of community helps face the pressures of working life.

– The new JHL theme song describes well how our union is an inspiring, bold and reliable partner. It’s a great continuation to the “Someone will take care of it” campaign and highlights the significance of JHL’s star professionals. Mennään samaa matkaa is a song about being stronger together. We hope that the song will be played at many JHL events such as branch and Union Council meetings, Communications Director Kristiina Ahonen says, delighted.

The song is composed by Mikko Malmivaara. The lyrics are written by Mikko Malmivaara, Jukka Jahnukainen, Ilari Heinilä and Leo Niemi. The arrangement is made by Ilari Heinilä. The song is produced in cooperation with All Good Management.

Emmi Hakala and Miko Kontturi performed the new brand song for the first time for JHL’s Union Council.

An entire JHL sound library has been constructed around the brand song. You can thus hear parts of the song without vocals for instance on our videos or podcasts.
