Collective agreement negotiations for the church sector have continued with a discussion about the negotiation goals

23.1.2025

The collective agreement negotiations for the church sector have continued on 22 January 2025. The parties aim for an agreement by the end of February.

Negotiations on the new collective agreement for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland (KirVESTES) have continued on Wednesday 22 January 2025. The parties presented their goals for the negotiations and had a preliminary discussion about them.

– We exchanged thoughts about development needs in the church sector agreement. The atmosphere was good, and the discussion was many-sided, comments Keijo Hiltunen, who is responsible for the church sector agreement negotiations at JHL.

The negotiations are going to continue next week, and the parties aim for an agreement by the end of February, which is when the current agreement ends.

– We also follow the progress of the other sectors’ negotiations, Hiltunen concludes.
