A local branch is a member’s home base. Local branches gather together all persons working in the local branch’s jurisdiction and division. These employees are members of JHL-affiliated local branches.
Local branches work for their members to improve the terms and conditions of employment, working conditions and to promote members’ benefits and rights in society. In addition to protection of interests, local branches arrange free time activities and training for their members.
A local branch finances its operations with a membership fee refund. The refund is 20 percent of membership fees paid to the union.
