Helsinki (29.04.2021 - Heikki Jokinen) Targeting, harassment or cyberbullying are an unfortunate reality for many people due to their work. The problem is growing, and the unions are working to help victims both in a practical way and through political action.
JHL keeps directly in touch with municipal and national decision makers. The trade union participates in the preparation of legislation and reforms. It also brings its members’ viewpoints to authorities doing preparatory work, and to public debate.
In accordance with the Nordic welfare model, JHL works to give each individual an opportunity to make their own life choices. These opportunities do not come about on their own. They are financed with shared tax revenues. For this reason, JHL aims for services produced with tax revenues to be arranged as public services, and for private services to support them.
