Unemployment fund

The Public and Welfare Sectors’ Unemployment Fund offers its members a range of modern services and membership benefits, online document management and flexible payment of benefits.

The unemployment fund is located in Helsinki, in the premises of the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors JHL. The head of the fund is Pasi Koskinen and it employs nearly 60 unemployment security professionals.

The membership fee of the unemployment fund is 0.33 % of a member’s taxable earned income.

The fund provides service to its members in all matters concerning unemployment and unemployment security.

Benefits for members:

• Earnings-related unemployment allowance for periods of unemployment
• Training subsidy for periods of labour market adult education and training
• Training allowance for periods of self-motivated education
• Job alternation allowance for periods of job alternation leave
