You may continue your JHL membership even after retirement. Notify your local branch or the union's Membership Services that you have retired.

The membership fee for pensioners is 8 €/ month. The membership fee will be totally paid before 30.4. by using the reference numbers for membership fees received from the Membership Services Unit. After paying the pensioner’s membership fee, you are entitled to all membership benefits.

Please notify JHL, when you retire, because the information is not automatically provided by any formal party. If JHL does not receive a notification of your retirement, your membership will be continued and membership fees will be collected as before.

When you retire on a full pension, you can no longer use the services of the unemployment fund. Therefore, we recommend that you resign from the unemployment fund. Please notify the Member Register of your resignation by e-mail to or by mail to the Membership Services Unit: JHL/Jäsenpalvelu, PL 101, 00531 Helsinki.
