Become a student member
You can become a JHL student member, if you are studying at an institute that provides training for people to be employed by /if, after graduation, your employer could be
- a municipality
- a joint municipal authority
- a parish
- the state
- a company or an enterprise owned by the above
- a company or corporation providing services for the public sector, or
- a company or corporation operating in a corresponding industry.
Why settle for a pizza discount card?
Many unions offer students support membership, promising them things like pizza discount cards. JHL won’t settle for something like this. Changes in working life concern all members irrespective of age. Most employers are organised to promote their interests. Why don’t you do the same?
Individual employees are in many cases unable to sufficiently defend their position in the employment market on their own. Joining a trade union strengthens the position of employees in a way that no other administrative or individual arrangement can.
