Development co-operation
The objective of the development co-operation activities carried out by JHL is to strengthen human rights, trade union rights and democracy, and to advance social justice. Supporting trade union work in areas with inadequate financial, social and mental resources strengthens the trade union movement both in the countries that provide support and in those that receive it.
Co-operation projects
Development co-operation takes the form of various projects. There are a number of regional projects on trade union training covering several public sector unions underway at the moment.
The most important partners are the Trade Union Solidarity Centre of Finland SASK and the Public Services International PSI.
At present there are projects underway in Africa, America and Asia.
