The closest people available for members in questions concerning the safeguarding of their interests are shop stewards and the chief shop steward at their workplace. They play a key role in monitoring the implementation of collective agreements at workplaces, interpret the contents of the agreements, conduct negotiations with your employer and contribute to the development of the terms of employment. Shop stewards make sure that the rules of working life are adhered to in workplaces.

JHL has an extensive network of local branches. Many of them have their own website, which you are welcome to visit. Together with shop stewards, the branches play a significant role in the support network of the members.
