Representation of the members’ occupation-related interests

kollaasi3.jpg : 33 kB JHL’s work to represent the members’ occupation-related interests consists of promoting their interests in questions relating to occupations, changes in work and occupational training

The union follows and anticipates change trends in service provision and in the work of various occupational groups, and participates in the development of the work, professional skills and working life of its members. JHL also works to ensure better opportunities for its members to participate in the development of their work and working community.

In representational action relating to employment relationships, JHL takes into account the special requirements in different occupations and the equality of employment and service relationships. The representation of occupational interests and participation in the dialogue within occupational networks also produce information that can be used in the development of collective agreements.

JHL works in co-operation with various labour market organisations and other stakeholders both in domestic and international forums. Occupational networking is carried out both at the domestic, Nordic and European level.
