JHL's administration
JHL's Union Council consist of 120 representatives elected by direct ballot in JHL's first joint election from 20 October to 15 November 2006. The organising meeting of the Union Council was held 6 - 7 February 2007. The organising meeting elected the President and two Chief Executive Officers and the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee consists of 23 members in addition to the President and the Chief Executive Officer.
The term for all those elected shall be five years.
Organisational members
The Coastguard Union, the Customs Officers’ Union, the Prison Officers’ Union and the Non Commissioned Officers' Union are organisational members of the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors JHL. This means that they are separate unions within JHL.
Raseborg College
The Raseborg College acts as a folk high school and as a versatile training centre for shop stewards and union officers in the municipal sector. It provides also development services for the municipalities in leadership, personnel management, municipal finances and quality of working life.
Raseborg College and the conference and holiday resort Raseborg are located in Karjaa, about one hour’s drive from Helsinki.
